I started at Defy Media (formerly Break Media) as a contributor, pitching scripts across brands, and became head writer, running the writers room and shaping the tone of some of their biggest hits. I led a team of writers, developed new formats, and kept things aligned with what audiences were there to see. I helped launch Prank It FWD for Break, a campaign that turned the internet prank format into something genuinely uplifting. On AweMe, I shaped Man at Arms: Reforged, an expansion of the breakout series that forged real, working versions of iconic weapons. I developed Internet Games for Speakeasy with Paul F. Tompkins, tailoring long-form interviews into shareable, social-first segments. And with the Smosh team, I launched Every [Blank] Ever, a sketch format that became a core format for that brand for years to come.
